Urticaria diet

It would be a pity to neglect to talk about the role of food allergy in the genesis and maintenance of urticaria. We have seen, the lesion of urticaria is related to histamine release from mast cells and release the self-maintenance.
Some foods lead directly to the release of histamine in the body, thereby allowing the extension of the crisis. This foods are:

Cheese and fermented foods
Fermented beverages (beer, cider ..)
Canned (herring, tuna )
Fish histamine content varies depending on the freshness (tuna, salmon, sardines, herring)
Spinach
Tomatoes

Foods that are histamine liberators:

Eggs
Chocolate
Strawberries, pineapple, exotic fruit ...

Foods rich in Tyramine (precursor chemical histamine):

Cheese
Smoked fish
Game
Sausage
Chocolate
Tomatoes, cabbage, grapes
White wines

A long list that just add to tartrazine (E102) and erythrosine (E127) as well as aspirin, anti inflammatory drugs, codeine and sulphites (E220 to E227) are responsible for dose-dependent way of activation of mast cells. Etiological treatment is because of allergies, treatment of this allergy is a foreclosure, if the allergen desensitization is a standardized product.

Urticaria Drugs

Almost all drugs are likely to be involved in the crisis of urticaria. The drugs most implicated in urticaria are antibiotics like penicillin and analgesics like aspirin. In all cases consultation with a doctor is essential to ensure that urticaria is related to a drug (which will later lead to his eviction) and get proper treatment.

Food Hives (urticaria food) is common. The diagnosis of urticaria food can be difficult and thus requires a medical consultation.

Food additives and substances are a common cause of hives:

Food histamine liberators: white and yellow eggs, chocolate, strawberries, pineapple, exotic fruit and crustaceans (shellfish), fish, alcohol, tomatoes, etc.. ;
Foods rich in histamine: fermented beverages , fermented cheeses (Roquefort, Brie), fish, cabbage, canned tomatoes, etc.;
Foods rich in tyramine: cheese, smoked fish, sausages, game stale, tomatoes, cabbage, grapes, wines, etc..

Food additives and contaminants that raise the risk of urticaria occurrence:

E 102 yellow dye ;
E110 (sunset yellow);
E 125 (red amaranth);
E 124 (cochineal red);
E127 ;
Conservatives: E 200 (ascorbic acid), E 210 , E 211 to 217 ;
Salicylic acid;
Quinine (bitter drinks);
Emulsifiers, thickeners and gelling agents;
Flavoring Agents;
Antibiotics (penicillin), fungicides
Nickel;
Yeasts, molds (beer, fermented cheese, bread, pastries, wine, vinegar, grape, industrial sauces, meat)
